Spiritual Support: Making space for a deepening relationship with the Divine is part of the mission of Joy’s Angels Holistic Healing Center. We will actively support our patient-clients’ efforts to develop their own spiritual paths. We will demonstrate meditation techniques, share philosophies and offer multiple ways to increase positive attitudes and peace of mind.
Light Massage: A gentle massage that uses long sweeping motions to ease stress and bring about relaxation.
Reflexology: Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are energy lines in the feet, which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure points on particular areas of the feet, reflexology serves to relax tension, improve circulation and stimulate nerve endings that can help aid the body in the healing process and reduce pain.
Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese therapy technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Energy, also known as Ki, Prana, or Chi flows from the practitioner's hands to help boost the natural healing process. Reiki treats not just the body, but emotions, mind and spirit.
Aromatouch: This healing session combines aromatherapy, light massage therapy on the back, reflexology and energy work. This combination of techniques can help to bring a deeper relaxation, can help with depression, reduce muscle tension, reduce pain and inflammation, and bring balance back to your mind, body and spirit.
CranioSacral Therapy: CranioSacral therapy is a gentle, hand-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to releive pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance..
SomatoEmotional Release: A therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. This therapy can help to dissipate residual effects of past trauma and negative emotional experiences from the body and mind.
Acupuncture: Acupuncture is a form of ancient Chinese medicine in which fine, sterile needles are applied to specific areas of the body, or acupoints and are left in place for a few minutes. This technique may help alleviate certain treatment-related side effects, such as nausea and vomiting, pain and other common symptoms, such as stress.
Paraffin Hand Treatment: Paraffin wax has been shown to treat conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia among others. A wax treatment acts as a type of thermotherapy, or heat therapy, that helps treat these conditions by increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and reducing stiffness in joints.
Meditation: Meditation is the practice of concentrating or focusing your attention to increase mental awareness and calm your mind and body. The aim is to be aware of thoughts that normally occupy your mind or to experience the sensations that flow through your body and mind. One of the main reasons people with cancer use meditation is to help them to feel better. Meditation can reduce anxiety and stress. It might also help control problems such as: pain, difficulty sleeping, tiredness, feeling sick, and high blood pressure.
Restorative Yoga: No experience necessary - all levels welcome. Gently move and stretch....and then relax. Classes include gentler movements and may incorporate chair yoga. Restorative poses are held longer to reduce stress levels and let the body rest.
Gentle Yoga: Cancer patients who practice yoga as therapy during their treatment often refer to their yoga practice as a lifesaver. The healing power of yoga helps both cancer patients and survivors. No matter how sick from the treatments or how little energy they have, many find the gentle set of therapeutic yoga poses to be the one thing that brings relief.
Pet Therapy Dog Visits: Pet therapy is a guided interaction between a person and a trained animal. This interaction with pets may help someone recover from or cope with a health problem or mental disorder. Pet therapy can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also increase self-esteem and improve social skills.
End of Life Doula: Clients and families can make their last days and the bereavement process more meaningful and peaceful. Doula’s services are tailored to the specific needs of each client and their family. They can include helping to create an end of life plan and hospice and home visits. Doulas can provide spiritual and emotional care to clients and their families; also they can help plan home vigils and funerals. By Appointment only for hospital and home visits.

When it comes to living with cancer, patients of all ages have long been encouraged to try and keep a positive attitude as the side effects are evident as they go about their daily routine and undergo the rigorous treatment schedules cancer requires. It’s certainly not easy to keep a smile on your face when you’re feeling ill from treatments or enduring other adverse side effects. It can be even harder when dealing with people who simply don’t understand what you are going through. Dance to Heal: Dance to Heal is an easy, gentle, minimal choreography dance class focusing on getting up to move, having fun and socialize in a dance party atmosphere!
Release Chronic Pain and Stress: In this class, you will be guided through what EFT tapping is and how to use it to accept what is. This moves your stuck energy and unconscious thoughts about your pain or illness. When this happens true healing is created.
